HAVANA TIMES – You don’t have to be a professional photographer, just send an image (in black and white or color), with a photo caption indicating where it was taken (city and country), type of camera or cell you used, and a small description about it.

Note: it is better for our format if you send horizontal orientation pictures.  Even square will work but vertical is a problem.

  • Agree 100% this is not wise to do. Cubans are leaving in a country of poverty and tribulations.

  • Be careful .. ask a person before you “publish” their photo. They may not mind you taking a photo for your personal collection .. but .. not everyone who repairs things or provides a service in Cuba is licensed to so and can get into a lot of trouble (lose their job, lose their rations, or be fined a large amount ) .. are you willing to pay their fine or support them and their family! I love the Cuba people and have befriended many for 25 years and tried to bring them “gifts”, I was taxed 100% to bring them necessities. Please be careful. You may think it is wonderful to share their lives and trials but it may backfire for them.
