Washington Post Op-ed on the Cuban Five

HAVANA TIMES – The Washington Post published in its Friday edition a lengthy article by Canadian writer Stephen Kimber on the case of the Cuban agents imprisoned in the United States since 1998.

Titled “The Cuban Five were fighting terrorism: Why did we imprison them?”  the writer addresses multiple contradictions in the legal proceedings in the case against the infiltrated agents.

Kimber also denounces the double standard of United States justice, when comparing the severe sentences to the Cuban Five and the benevolent treatment for terrorists of Cuban origin Rodolfo Frómeta and Luis Posada Carriles, both free on US soil.
