HAVANA TIMES, Feb. 13 — The Cuba International Book Fair is underway in the capital in its 19th edition with its headquarters at the sprawling San Carlos de la Cabaña Fortress overlooking Havana Bay.

The event —the most widely attended on the island— brings together Cubans of all ages and also attracts foreign visitors.  Russia is the guest of honor this year and numerous of its publishers and artists are on hand.

Besides the book presentations and vendors stalls, there is also a full cultural program of concerts, art exhibitions and cinema.
