HAVANA TIMES — The Danza Contemporanea de Cuba dance company performed their work Compass, a choreography by the Dutch dancer Jan Linkens, at the Mella Theater in Havana.
In this work we hear rhythms from various sources: the human voice, Afro-Cuban percussion, guaracha, Bronx drums, mambo and waltz. The male and female dancers are woven in a highly charged piece where they carry out the most complicated stunts. Light, color, music and dance in perfect harmony invite the audience to enjoy life to the fullest.
