HAVANA TIMES, Oct. 16 – September and October are important months for the art of writing with light in Latin America

Argentinean artist Eduardo Segura’s journey through several Mexican cities -particularly Mazatlán, where he was invited to an international photography conference- also brought him to Cuba to give a course-workshop for several Havana institutions.

Among those organizations are the Jose Marti International Institute of Journalism, the Gaia Theater Group, the Paulita Concepción School of Music and Dance and the Fototeca de Cuba.

The course-workshop, presented with absolute expertise by the visiting artist, covers practical-experience oriented photography that is based on a holistic technique that Segura has developed over fifteen years of work in different cities in his country and abroad.

Titled PAC (Creative Activation Process), the course lends possibilities to inner expression of artists based on diverse sensations, allowing them to then create.

The course exercises consist of holistic stimulation that is creative and sensory (treating a theme that implies all of its components and relationships that are invisible to the five senses). These mobilize each person’s body and spirit through the activation of the entire body.

By creating a different state of consciousness, an inner well-being is established in which stress and daily worry disappear, opening the way to a higher level of artistic creativity, planning and development. This is said to restore the essential values and emotions for the complete maker of art.
