HAVANA TIMES — Like every year, Cuban Theater Week will be held on the island, this time from January 28 to March 3, and dedicated to the new directors of the Cuban stage, reported the Prensa Latina news agency.

Activities will include an extensive program of premieres and revivals of plays, including theatrical presentations in 156 remote communities in eastern Cuba.

Parallel to the performances will be two community conferences (with criticism, lectures, classes and workshops) about puppets and community theater, reads the news article.

At the closing of the program, it is expected that the National Theater Award will be presented, though the winner has not been identified.
