Cuban Sharpshooter Comes Up Short at World Cup

HAVANA TIMES — Cuba’s Leuis Pupo, winner of an Olympic gold medal at London 2012, failed to obtain a medal at the World Shooting Cup held in Granada, Spain, participating in the rapid 25-meter shoot.

According to Prensa Latina, Pupo finished in 12th place with 580 points in the qualifying round.  He finished ahead of all other Latin American participants but did not make it to the final round.

The winner was Yuehong Li (China) followed by Christian Reitz (Germany) and Emil Milev (USA).
