Cuba’s Balaguer Winds Up China Visit
HAVANA TIMES, Sept 1 — Jose Ramon Balaguer, a top level Communist Party member, concluded a visit to China to exchange on the “respective processes in the construction of socialism”, notes the official Cuban media on Thursday.
Among the topics discussed by Balaguer were the VI Congress of the Communist Party of Cuba held last April that centered on economic reforms and the upcoming National Conference (scheduled for Jan. 2012) to address other political and social issues.
China is Cuba’s second leading trading partner after Venezuela.
