The seventh congress of the Union of Jurists of Cuba, being held since yesterday, concludes today at the Havana Convention Center. The meeting was attended by the heads of the Attorney General’s Office and the Supreme Court.

Chinese hurdler Liu Xiang beat his Cuban rival Dayron Robles on Saturday by winning the 60 meter hurdles at an indoor track meet in Birmingham, England. Liu covered the distance in 7.41 seconds, beating Robles (7.50) by almost a tenth of a second.

The Cuban all-star baseball game held in Matanzas on Sunday ended with a victory for the Eastern team over the West, with tight score of 8 to 7. Second baseman Yeison Pacheco from Holguin belted the game-winning 2-RBI double in the top of the eighth off right-handed reliever Yadier Pedroso.
