Operation Miracle, a free ophthalmologic care programme carried out by Cuba and Venezuela, has benefited more than 10,000 persons in El Salvador, the island’s state-run press reported today. Since its creation in 2004, this initiative has treated some 1.6 million patients in 35 countries.
