An earthquake with a 5.6 magnitude struck near Guantanamo, Cuba on Saturday at 2:08 p.m. reported Cubadebate.cu. No injuries or serious structural damage was reported.

Cuba Asks for Protection at UN

The Cuban government demanded that the U.S. authorities guarantee “the security and physical integrity of the diplomatic mission and its personnel” at the UN after a “dangerous and provocative incident” involving some 30 exiles in front of the island’s mission in New York, according to a letter released by this multilateral organization.

Operation Miracle benefits 10,000 persons in El Salvador

Operation Miracle, a free ophthalmologic care programme carried out by Cuba and Venezuela, has benefited more than 10,000 persons in El Salvador, the island’s state-run press reported today. Since its creation in 2004, this initiative has treated some 1.6 million patients in 35 countries.

The second Caribbean Dance Biennial 2010, is set for March 23-28. et to perform are the dance troupes: Non of Lisbet Sad (Cuba); Oroyo So by Ballet Rakatan of Guyana directed by Julie Adami; Malson of the Cuban toupe Danza Abierta and Ecume of the Martinique company Articidence.
