Rabid in Cuba

There’s a cat that comes to sleep in my building lately. It’s white & grey with a big head. It almost always has its face covered in scratches

My father passed away in Cuba on the night of July 11, 2023. As the National News on Cuban TV would say: from a “long and difficult illness.”

The highs will be between 32 & 34ºC (90 and 93 F) & the lows between 24 & 26ºC (75 and 79 F). The sea surface temperature will be 30ºC (86 F)

Silvio’s stubborn political commitment, silence when it’s time to speak out – when almost nobody is safe – will also catch up with him.

An old classmate from pre-university was arguing with me about the “Special Period” years. According to him, we’re much worse off now.
