Telephone Spyware Targets El Salvador’s Independent Journalists

The cellphones of journalists and human rights advocates in El Salvador were infected with the invasive Israeli Pegasus spyware.

Today’s featured artist is Dom Salvador from Brazil with the song “Hei Voce” from the album “Som, Sangue e Raça” (1971).

Devices belonging to 35 people, mostly journalists along with a few members of civil society, were infected with Pegasus spyware.

Alliance for Democracy sees democracy, human rights, and press freedom as being under attack in the region.

This comes as the United States continues its mass deportations of Haitians amid a mounting security and political crisis.
