Cuban Painter to Show at Arteamericas Fair

HAVANA TIMES, Feb 8 — The famous Cuban painter, printmaker and photographer Arturo Montoto will present two works at the Arteamericas Fair scheduled for the Miami Beach Convention Center from March 2 to 5, reports the Prensa Latina news agency.

The works belong to the Fort Lauderdale Museum of Art in Florida, which recently acquired them for inclusion in a group exhibition dedicated to abstract art by renowned artists.

Montoto stated that in addition to the Florida museum, his works have also been acquired by three other US museums: the Lowe Art Museum (University of Miami), the University of Virginia, and the Museum of Latin American Art in Long Beach, California.

The artist is one of the visual artists on the island with the greatest international recognition and whose works are highly valued on the world art market.
