Cuba Photos by Bill Hackwell

HAVANA TIMES, Dec. 19.— Havana Times is pleased to present its readers with a gallery of pictures taken in Cuba by social documentary photographer Bill Hackwell, a US professional with a career dating back to the Vietnam War.

A show of Hackwell’s photos along with paintings by imprisoned Cuban Five member Antonio Guerrero is currently traveling the island after its opening in Havana.

Over the past 15 years Hackwell has worked in a variety of projects in Cuba, producing several photo essays of different aspects of Cuba’s urban and rural life form sugar production to Santiago’s famous carnival.
