Los Aldeanos Duo to Perform in Miami
The popular Cuban rap duo Los Aldeanos will perform in concert in Miami on November 13, reported IPS, citing the El Nuevo Herald newspaper. The group will perform along with Silvito El Libre, another representative of the underground Cuban hip hop movement, that cuts discs outside the state institutions.

Cuban filmmaker Alejandro Brugués is preparing a horror comedy titled Juan de los muertos (John of the Dead), the first film of this genre produced in the island, the Cuban Institute of Cinema Arts and Industry (ICAIC) reported. The film, whose shooting will begin next September, is a co-production with Spain’s La Zanfoña Producciones. This will be Brugués’ second film, having previously directed Personal Belongings.

Cuban filmmaker Marylin Solaya premiered in the Cuban capital’s Charles Chaplin theatre the documentary En el cuerpo equivocado (In the Wrong Body), which tells the story of Mavi Susel, the first transsexual who underwent a sex change operation in the island in 1988, reported IPS. In the coming days HT will present a review of the documentary.
