It was on this fatal day that 200,000 soldiers from the Warsaw pact, principally from the “Glorious Red Army of the Soviet Union”, equipped with 2,300 tanks invaded Czechoslovakia.

TS Cristobal Forms Northeast of Cuba

Tropical Storm Cristobal formed early Sunday near the Dominican Republic, and is currently moving in a northwestwardly direction towards the southeastern Bahamas. The storm is not expected to have any effect on Cuba.
