More than half a million Cubans will be vaccinated against seasonal flu from November 20 to December 15, said island public health authorities on Monday.

The UN General Assembly on Tuesday renewed a demand that the United States lift the economic embargo imposed on Cuba since the 1960s. For the 21st consecutive year, supporters and detractors of the Cuban system have joined to condemn the embargo.
