The UN General Assembly will once again vote on Wednesday to condemn the US embargo on Cuba. The non-binding resolution has been submitted by Cuba for the last 25 years, receiving overwhelming approval.

The Cuban economy received some US $2 billion of promised foreign investment this year despite the US embargo and the confrontation between the two countries since the presidency of Donald Trump, Rodrigo Malmierca, Minister of Foreign Trade, announced Monday.

The center of a Tropical Depression with 55 km/h winds is swiftly approaching western Cuba. It is expected to pass over very near the Isle of Youth in the early afternoon and move through the mainland in the late afternoon and evening.

A tropical depression, mostly likely soon to be tropical storm, formed today north of Honduras and its initial projected track has it crossing western Cuba sometime on Saturday where a Tropical Storm warning was issued by the National Hurricane Center.
