From Science to Art with Dioblan Hernandez

“Ojos del Alma” is an exhibition by Dioblan Hernandez Torres, a Mechanical Engineer turned artist, that was recently taken down at the Fajad Jamos Art Gallery in Alamar, and now part of it just opened on Saturday at the Frida Kahlo Gallery, in Central Havana’s Cultural Center located on Carlos III Avenue. It will be there until March 9th.

The Art of Living Foundation in Cuba

Andres Oscar Lahera Carbo, a cheery, daring young man who is in love with “The Art of Living Foundation”, is this group’s coordinator here in Cuba. It came to the Island in 2015 with Francisco Moreno from Argentina. “I learned about Meditation, Reiki, Rosicrucianism, Theosophy, ” explained Lahera. (18 photos)

First “America Meditates” Gathering in Cuba for World Peace

Joining the continental event “America Meditates”, the Art of Living group in Cuba summoned everyone who was interested in being a part of the bridge through meditation. Cuba connected with the rest of Latin America: Argentina, Brazil, Peru, Chile, Uruguay, Paraguay, Colombia and maybe other Latin American countries in a call for peace and wellbeing via meditation. Telling Stories for Women who Love

With a one-person presentation: “Women who love for better or worse”, oral story-teller Mirta Portillo came to perform at Havana’s Casa de la Poesia, last Thursday September 26th. Linking stories about five Marias, the narrator revealed lives that would be common for any woman anywhere in the world. (22 photos)
