Santiago de Cuba: City of Sculptures

In 2010, the city of Santiago de Cuba held its first Public Sculpture Symposium. During the event, Cuban artists and US sculptor Melvin Edwards sculpted pieces which were installed in public spaces around the city. In 2013, the 2nd Symposium included Cuban artists and the works of Japanese artist Yoshida Mitsumasa. (18 photos)

The Bridge at 100th and Boyeros in Havana

Those who travel often on Rancho Boyeros Ave. will know this crossroads which is a bridge that leads to the municipalities of Arroyo Naranjo and Playa. Havana’s Marti Theatre on Opening Night to the Public

These pictures are of what was the first public function in the newly reopened Marti Theatre in Havana. “The Possible Impossible”: Contemporary Dance in Old Havana
