Havana Weather for October 7-13

Partially cloudy from the morning, and after noon the cloudiness will increase, giving rise to showers that in some locations can be intense.

In the Atlantic, neither the powerful hurricane Sam or Tropical Storm Victor are forecast to affect Cuba or the Caribbean region.

TS Sam in the central Atlantic continues to intensify as it moves westward. At the moment it does not represent a threat to the Caribbean.

Over the North Atlantic, Gulf of Mexico and Caribbean Sea, the probability of tropical cyclone formation will be high during the next 5 days.

The rains associated will be affecting portions of Florida and the southern United States, without posing a danger to Cuba for the time being.

Due to the current forecast, it is not expected that Hurriane Larry will affect Cuba and the Caribbean, but its evolution should be followed.

Hurricane Ida is about to cross over the Isle of Youth, Cuba and then between the Western provinces of Pinar del Río and Artemisa.

Over the Gulf of Mexico & the Caribbean, a medium to high probability of tropical cyclone formation is expected during the next 5 days.

Tropical Storm Grace is currently crossing the Yucatan Peninsula moving west at a speed of 15 mph, presenting sustained winds of 50 mph.

Although strong winds are not expected in Havana, isolated rains and storms will be occurring due to the proximity of this tropical system.
