Havana Weather for October 17-23

Cloudy conditions will prevail in the western half of the country, with showers, rain, and thunderstorms in the capital.

While Hurricane Milton is strongly affecting Florida, strong swells will continue on the northwestern coast of Cuba.

Many Cubans, Dominicans, Puerto Ricans and other Latin Americans live in Tampa and the other areas on Milton’s projected path.

Cuba continues to be influenced by a low-pressure system in the southwest of the Gulf of Mexico.

Over the next few days, rain will continue in the capital, which could become heavy and intense in some areas.

Entering the Gulf of Mexico, Helene is expected to rapidly gain strength and become a major hurricane before it reaches land in Florida.

Starting tonight, tropical storm-force winds may be reported in Isla de la Juventud and Pinar del Río, with speeds of 55 to 70 kph.

The National Hurricane Center in Miami has declared a tropical storm warning for Pinar del Río, Artemisa and the Isle of Youth.

Highs between 28 and 32°C (82 and 90°F), while lows will be 23 and 24°C (73 and 75°F). The sea surface temperature will be 30°C (86°F).
